Carboplatin Injection, USP
Carboplatin injection is a chemotherapy medication used in the treatment of various cancers, including ovarian cancer, lung cancer, and some types of brain tumors. It belongs to a class of drugs called platinum-containing compounds and works by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells.
Carboplatin is administered intravenously (IV) and works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, thereby preventing them from dividing and multiplying. This action inhibits the growth of the tumor.
